Definition of Educational Technology and Learning

Educational technology can be seen as a product and process (Sadiman, 1993). As a product, educational technology is easy to understood because it is more concrete such as radio, television, projector, and so on. As a process, technology education is abstract. The educational technology can be understood as a complex and integrated process involving people, procedures, ideas, devices, and organization for analyzing problems, finding ways to overcome the problems, implement, assess, and manage the problem solving that concerning all aspects of human learning (AECT,1977). In line with this, the educational technology was born out of the real problems in education.

Educational issues that stuck out today, include the equal opportunity to education, quality improvement or quality, relevance, and efficiency of education. Serious problems which are still being felt by education ranging from primary education to higher education is a matter quality, of course this can be solved through educational technology approach.
